Protein Packed Waffles!!

Here is a quick little recipe for a great protein waffle. If you are like me, you love waffles and pancakes, this recipe can easily make both, I just prefer it in the waffle form. This is how I make

mine at home, you can substitute your protein powder with any you like. Full recipe down below.

giant eagle protein powder

It all starts with the protein powder, I use Giant Eagle brand whey protein powder. It comes in vanilla, chocolate and even strawberry, I go with vanilla. Vanilla then allows you to add in different flavors if you like, for instance, I use cinnamon in this recipe to add some extra flavor. After I add in one jumbo egg and water. I add the water slowly until it becomes a thick consistency, not too thick, but just thin enough to spread over the waffle iron. Then once it is all mixed I add it to the waffle iron until the timer goes off. I usually eat mine with another egg on top, you can use syrup or any topping you would like to.

Recipe and Directions

  • 1 serving of protein powder (your choice of powder)

  • 1 jumbo egg

  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

  • Water (enough to get a consistency you prefer)

Step 1: In a bowl mix in the protein powder, cinnamon and jumbo egg.

Step 2: Add water and mix

Step 3: Add water and keep mixing until batter is thin enough to be spread across the

waffle iron

Step 4: Add batter to waffle iron and cook

Step 5: Enjoy your waffle with whatever toppings you prefer.
